Sesame Seed Snaps - Review

The wrapper

One of the three little snacks

Price I Paid
70p for a multipack of 4.  In each individual pack there are three treats so for 70p you get 12 slices!

Design
The packaging looks quite old fashioned but I think it is great how they have three little thin snacks in each pack instead of one big wedge of sesame seeds. There is also now a coconut and sesame version of these snacks although I have not had the opportunity to buy those yet.

Colour
The snaps are a yellow/beige colour a bit browner than normal toasted sesame seeds because a large amount of sugar has been added aswell.

Texture
The bars really do snap when you break them so the title is true to the food.  I love food that snaps like this, it's a bit strange but it is the same kind of feeling of satisfaction you get when popping bubblewrap! They are quite filling for their size actually as you have to really chew them because they are so crunchy.

Smell
No real smell

Ingredients
46% sesame seeds, the other ingredients are only glucose syrup and sugar.  Each pack contains 163 calories and sesame seeds are very good for you!
"Not only are sesame seeds a very good source of manganese and copper, but they are also a good source of calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc and dietary fiber. In addition to these important nutrients, sesame seeds contain two unique substances: sesaminand sesamolin. Both of these substances belong to a group of special beneficial fibers calledlignans, and have been shown to have a cholesterol-lowering effect in humans, and to prevent high blood pressure and increase vitamin E supplies in animals. Sesamin has also been found to protect the liver from oxidative damage"
