Clean and Clear dual action moisturiser

Price I Paid
£3.59

Design
A pretty basic cheap bottle, not too exciting.  I found the wording fades very quickly if you leave it on a shelf in sunlight.

Colour
White, easily goes clear when spread out on face.

Texture
Quite a thin liquid, has lasted me a reasonable time although I do only use it on occasion.  This product is oil free which is great if you need to moisturise but have skin that is prone to breakouts.  It does not provide alot of moisture so for my slightly dry skin it doesn't help too much but it is very light and definitely not greasy.  My skin is generally quite clear now I am 21 but sometimes I use this when I have used an oily product on my face during the day and don't want to use a thick moisturiser after taking it off.
Smell
Unperfumed, but it smells a bit like rubber which I don't really like.

Ingredients
No offencive ingredients.  None that are notably good for skin either, or that prevent spots.  I think of it as a moisturiser that wouldn't aggravate spot prone skin rather than something that actively prevents them.

Overall Reaction
This product is okay, I wouldn't bother to repurchase it.  Although for the cheap price, it pretty much does do what it says on the bottle.
I would score this product 5/10

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion Review

Price I Paid
£3.57 quite a cheap moisturiser for the quantity

Design
Note - since i bought this product the lid has changed to a navy blue colour but the ingredients are all the same.  An average looking bottle.

Colour
A brilliant white looking cream

Texture

I was pretty disappointed with the texture of this product, it's quite runny more like single cream.  Although it was plastered with statements such as "express hydration" "fast absorbing""absorbs in seconds" and "sensationally light" i actually found it to take 5 or so mins to fully sink into my skin which is the same amount of time as my usual moisturiser Palmer's cocoa butter so i don't think there is anything particularly express about this!   I do think this is the perfect product for someone who has naturally slightly oily skin and wants to just add a little extra moisture as when it dries, it does dry "sensationally light" although to me that means non existent and my skin isn't too bad to begin with.

Smell

The smell of this product is not too offensive slightly flowery similar to every other Nivea product if you know the smell.  If you have a very good sense of smell you might notice it is slightly more of a chemical smell than most other moisturisers.

Ingredients

I had a little bit of a laugh at the ingredients of this product to be honest.  On the bottle it raves about it's fantastic "Hydra IQ" formulation.  However if you break the words down it means hydra - water and IQ - intelligence quotient.  Therefore all this really stands for is "a specified quantity of intelligent water" so i guess that isn't really as intelligent as it might at first sound!
Furthmore, the first ingredient on the back is Aqua.. which is surprise surprise water!!  Water in itself is not very moisturising so it would probably be the glycerin which is the second ingredient that does all the moisturising work.
It claims to include sea minerals, which what i gather from the ingredients list seems to be salt.
Then there is a long list of other chemical sounding ingredients that i have no clue about to be honest!

Overall Reaction
An okay moisturiser especially considering the price, if you want something extremely light.  Probably something i will eventually use up but not something i would re-purchase.
I would rate this: 3/10

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion Review

Price I paid
£4 - Quite a little goes a long way which is surprising since it is not too expensive to begin with.  I normally find cheaper products use up very fast in comparison to the ones i spend a little more on.

Design

The design of the bottle isn't too modern but i think i like that because the product has been around for a while and has stood the test of time.

Colour

The actual lotion is a beige colour, but as soon as you spread it out it seems clear.  It leaves a shiny glean on your body for the drying time but once it has sunk in it is invisible.

Texture

Palmer's describe this product as butter and the texture of it is very similar to the kind of easy spread butter you find in shops.  It is incredibly smooth to apply and really moisturizes and softens dry skin! I find it best to apply it straight after the shower while i'm drying off because it does need a minute or two to dry off.

Smell

This product smells gorgeous a little like white chocolate but i don't think it is particularly overpowering.

Ingredients
It contains vitamin E which is an antioxidant, this means that it neutralises the effects of the molecules in your skin that break down collagen and cause dryness and wrinkles.  It may also be used to help with stretch marks and tone skin although i dont think it works miracles because i have some on the tops of my legs and after years of use i havent noticed a significant difference although it may have prevented more.
Perhaps the only thing that is a bit strange about the ingredients list is their need to add perfume that smells like cocoa to a cocoa butter product.  Although the cocoa that is used in this formula has some moisturising properties and according to the Palmer's website the cocoa is sustainably sourced which is good to know!

Overall reaction
Palmer's cocoa butter is one of my all time favourite body lotions which i have been using for years and continually have re-purchased!
i would rate this: 8/10
