Nivea In Shower Skin Conditioner For Dry Skin - Review

The trial packaging

Price I Paid
This is a trial version but the full size version can be found in drugstores.  I have not managed to locate it online though?

Design
The trial version was enough for just my legs as there was not too much in the packet.

Colour
A thick white cream

Texture
It is a very thick cream but actually does not feel very moisturising.  I found that this product had almost no effect whatsoever.  When moisturising you want the effects to last a while but I found that the moisturising effect only lasted while the product was on my legs.  As soon as it was washed off my skin felt dry again.

Application
The unique thing about this product is that it moisturises whilst you are in the shower.  It is washed off and you are left with no residue on your skin unlike normal moisturiser.

Smell
Smells like most nivea products, a little like baby powder.

Ingredients
Contains almond oil which will moisturise your skin but can be washed off skin with water which is a bit pointless.

Overall Reaction
Pretty unimpressed with this product I really don't see the point of it, although I do like the concept!

Nivea Soft Face Body Hands - Review and Swatch

Price I Paid
This is a trial version but the full size version retails for £6.02 in Boots.  Quite a strange price actually I don't know why the extra 2p was necessary!

Design
The trial is a cute round pot with a resealable lid which is really nice because I got about three uses out of it!

Colour
The product is white

Texture
A really lovely moisturising thick cream.

Application
Can be used on face, hands and body.  I think this is great because it is very moisturising and despite it being a very thick cream it still spreads evenly.  It does not take too long to dry it needs a minute or two though as it does not sink in instantly but I didn't mind this as it did not leave a greasy residue.  My skin felt really soft after using it!

Smell
Nivea products have a distinct smell like baby wipes or baby powder. My mum actually commented on this smell a few hours after I used the product so the smell is quite strong and lasts a while.

Ingredients
Vitamin E and Jojoba oil are great moisturisers.

Overall Reaction
I would definitely consider purchasing the full size version as soon as my giant bottle of Palmer's cocoa butter runs out!  This cream is a bit too heavy to use on my face though as it clogs my pores so I would recommend it for people with quite dry skin to use just on their body

Nivea Express Hydration Body Lotion Review

Price I Paid
£3.57 quite a cheap moisturiser for the quantity

Design
Note - since i bought this product the lid has changed to a navy blue colour but the ingredients are all the same.  An average looking bottle.

Colour
A brilliant white looking cream

Texture

I was pretty disappointed with the texture of this product, it's quite runny more like single cream.  Although it was plastered with statements such as "express hydration" "fast absorbing""absorbs in seconds" and "sensationally light" i actually found it to take 5 or so mins to fully sink into my skin which is the same amount of time as my usual moisturiser Palmer's cocoa butter so i don't think there is anything particularly express about this!   I do think this is the perfect product for someone who has naturally slightly oily skin and wants to just add a little extra moisture as when it dries, it does dry "sensationally light" although to me that means non existent and my skin isn't too bad to begin with.

Smell

The smell of this product is not too offensive slightly flowery similar to every other Nivea product if you know the smell.  If you have a very good sense of smell you might notice it is slightly more of a chemical smell than most other moisturisers.

Ingredients

I had a little bit of a laugh at the ingredients of this product to be honest.  On the bottle it raves about it's fantastic "Hydra IQ" formulation.  However if you break the words down it means hydra - water and IQ - intelligence quotient.  Therefore all this really stands for is "a specified quantity of intelligent water" so i guess that isn't really as intelligent as it might at first sound!
Furthmore, the first ingredient on the back is Aqua.. which is surprise surprise water!!  Water in itself is not very moisturising so it would probably be the glycerin which is the second ingredient that does all the moisturising work.
It claims to include sea minerals, which what i gather from the ingredients list seems to be salt.
Then there is a long list of other chemical sounding ingredients that i have no clue about to be honest!

Overall Reaction
An okay moisturiser especially considering the price, if you want something extremely light.  Probably something i will eventually use up but not something i would re-purchase.
I would rate this: 3/10
